Jason - I couldn't agree more. I was in that frenzy myself because I wanted to meet specific goals in my life by a specific timeline. After accomplishing those goals I realized I may have worked too hard toward their accomplishment and potentially failed at ensuring I got the results I desired at the end of the day. Live and learn my friend.

Online Scavenger Hunt Plan (sent to you via email with an attached document, but posted here just in case!)

Online Scavenger Hunt (We are working with Groups C & G)
Introduction is posted in our chat room and reads…
The teacher, if he is indeed wise, does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom, but leads you to the threshold of your own mind. Kahlil Gibran (1883-1931)
Welcome groups C and G from your online facilitation hosts, Jane, Jason and Scott. We will start this evening with an Online Scavenger Hunt. The directions for play are as follows: 1) A single question will be posted by Jason to our chat room; 2) Each of you will search for the answer using your Internet browser; 3) As soon as you have found the correct answer, you must post your answer to the chat room; 4) Only one minute will be given to locate the answer; 5) You may submit only one guess for each question posed; 6) The first person to post the correct answer will be given credit and will earn one point; 7) Once a correct answer is received, a new question will be posed; 8) If after a minute, no correct answer is given, the answer will be revealed with no one earning a point, and a new question will be posed; 9) There are 10 questions in all; 10) At the end of 10 questions, the person with the most correct answers will be provided lunch by Jane, Jason and Scott on Saturday.
Success Tip: In order to track when a correct answer is posted, and when a new question is posed. you must be able to see both screens on your computer at the same time. This is a fast-paced activity, and is sure to pump-up your browser and your mind to warp-speed! Enjoy! And, remember…this is just a game.
This evening’s tentative itinerary:
6:35 – 6:45 Online Scavenger Hunt
6:45 – 6:55	Debriefing
6:55 – 7:05	Reflection/Feedback
7:05 – 7:30 Break
6:30	Sign In
•	Jane will make sure everyone slated to be a part of our online discussion is “signed in”.
•	If anyone is MIA…Jane will try to locate them…but will spend no more than a minute or two doing so
6:32	Welcome
•	Jane will greet all online participants and remind them to read the introduction and evening’s itinerary if they haven’t already done so.
•	It will be announced that the scavenger hunt will begin promptly at 6:35.
•	I will ask if there are any questions.
6:35 – 6:45	Online Scavenger Hunt
•	10 minutes to play/ 1 minute per question
•	Roles:
o	Jason posts questions
o	Scott will keep a log of correct answers along with being the timekeeper
	Once one is answered correctly, will declare the winner of that point
	Will also state when no one has answered correctly and what the correct answer is
o	Jane will encourage people to participate
•	Questions:
o	How much is a lb of Kenya coffee from Caribou?
	Correct Answer: $16.95
o	What is President Obama’s dog’s name?
	Correct Answer: Bo
o	What running back led the NFL in rushing last year (2008 season)?
	Correct Answer: Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
o	What year was Madonna inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
	Correct Answer: 2008
o	Who wrote the book Five Minds for the Future?
	Correct Answer: Howard Gardner
o	In what classic movie would you find this quote, “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams”?
	Correct Answer: Willy Wonka (or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)
o	Who was the 9th President of the United States?
	Correct Answer: William Harrison
o	What is Sarah Palin’s middle name?
	Correct Answer: Louise
o	What is Dilbert’s profession?
	Correct Answer: Engineer
o	Teeri Deems, VP of Deems Associates/WorkLife Design, a management consulting and training firm, has offices in what 3 cities?
	Ankeny, Scottsdale, and Moline
•	Scott will announce the winner!!!!!!
6:45 –6:55 Debriefing:
•	Jason will facilitate the debriefing (Do you think we should divide up this debriefing to ensure we have a fair distribution of responsibilities? Please let me know). Each of us will contribute where appropriate.
o	Drawing upon your experiences from our Online Scavenger Hunt…
o	What are the reasons in support of using games in a learning experience? (Try to bring out the following…without actually saying it; but, it may need to be stated if the participants are going off in an entirely different direction)
	It is an experiential form of learning
	It heightens participants’ awareness, interest and curiosity
	Fully immerses participants in an active task
	May provide a degree of reality that other learning devices cannot
	High motivational value
	Participation for everyone
	Emphasizes the role of participants
	Learning is rapid
	Allows for risk-taking in a safe atmosphere
	Can aid skill development
	Taps the right brain, thereby stimulating the intuitive, creative e, emotional and spontaneous side of the participants
o	What are some critical elements that must be in place before a game can be successful? (Try to bring out the following…)
	Learning goals
	Clearly defined rules
	Competition
	Player participation/interaction
	Termination point or closure
	Outcomes (where winners/losers are determined)
o	Potential Disadvantages? (try to bring out the following…)
o	Simulations: (I highly recommend that we include this, although we didn’t discuss it Wednesday night. Reason? It was half of the chapter, and I don’t want to get docked points if we don’t include it!!!!)
	How are games and simulations alike? How are they different?
•	A simulation is designed to place the participants in an experience comparable to what they would experience in real life.
	What are some examples
•	Mock disasters
•	Poverty simulations
•	Dry-runs on evacuation procedures
	Advantages? (Try to bring out the following…)
•	Involved in real-life rather than theoretical
•	Active learning
•	Participants can function in a “low stress” environment in order to learn how to deal with a high-stress situation
•	Time spans can be compressed
•	Provides opportunity for immediate feedback
	Disadvantages? (Try to bring out the following…)
•	May not replicate to all situations or complexities that may arise
•	Participants may develop a false sense of confidence
•	The simulation must be carefully constructed in order to ensure that the desired learning outcomes are certain to be reached
•	Facilitators must be “on their toes” to handle all kinds of situations
Can be more time consuming compared to other methods
6:55 – 7:05 Reflection/Feedback in regard to Facilitation:
•	Jane will thank everyone for their participation and will request feedback…
Alright everyone…we have reached the time where we must close and reflect upon your experience. We would like to thank each of you for your earnest contribution to our online facilitation. We hope that you enjoyed the experience and gained valuable insight in regard to using games, from both the participant and facilitator’s viewpoint. We appreciate any feedback you might be able to offer. Please consider the following:
o	What went well?
o	What didn’t go well?
o Suggestions for Improvement?
o	Additional comments
Please submit your responses in writing to this chat room within the next 10 minutes. Thank you for your time and for your consideration!
7:05 – 7:30 Break

Great question Jason, I was actually asked this question for our final project in a Leadership class during the Drake University MBA program. It was interesting to first determine what my "world" is, then define how I intend to change it. Truly a great exercise that put so many variables into perspective. I can say it changed me.

If that doesn't work for Jason, I can meet some other time on Tuesday as long as it's after 4PM - and the only other night I'm free is Wednesday after 5:30PM.

I agree with Fitzgerald , because as a high school wide receiver my self , looking at the good receivers like Owens and Moss they make it the job look easy but not sportmanship. But I guess when you reach the NFL you have the liberty to do that , show boat and all .
